Jack Aitken is the latest former Euroformula Open driver making it to Formula 1. The 25-year-old British-Korean made a very positive F.1 debut at the Sakhir GP, at the wheel of a Williams. He was the third former EFO driver on the grid in Bahrain, alongside Carlos Sainz and Sebastian Vettel.
Aitken had a short but remarked tenure in the 2016 Euroformula. Coming from a triumphant Eurocup F.Renault 2.0 season in 2015 and on his way to join GP 3 and Formula V8 3.5, he competed in the first two rounds of the Euroformula at Estoril and Spa-Francorchamps with RP Motorsport, conquering one pole and one win at each event.
