The 2023 Winter Test of the Euroformula Open concluded today at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya after three more sessions, again held with very good weather.
In these conditions, Noel León, the Mexican driver of Team Motopark, posted the best lap time of the entire Winter Test in the dying moments of the last session. 1.31.517 was his mark. He beat team mate and country fellow Enzo Trulli by 0s048, while Vladislav Ryabov was a close third, 0s418 behind.
Four tenths aback, were Brice aron and Francesco Simonazzi. The Italian of BVM Racing, who was the fastest man in the track in Day 1, suffered the only notable incident of the two-day exercise, when one of his rear brakes broke in turn 1 in session 4. The Italian hit the barriers and the car reported front suspension damage, but was repaired in time for the last two sessions.
Cian Shields was sixth, while Jakob Bergmeister, Juju Noda and Vladimir Netusil all reduced significantly their gaps.
The Euroformula Open teams will now continue testing privately before the first round of the season, scheduled at Portimão on 28-30 April.
